Washington, DC – Today, following an unsigned order from the Supreme Court upholding a gerrymandered congressional map in Texas that could give the Republican party up to 5 additional seats and was put in motion by Donald Trump, Demand Justice President Josh Orton released the following statement:
“Donald Trump directed Texas Republicans to redraw their Congressional map and they followed his orders–now the Supreme Court is once again putting right-wing politics above the law. The Roberts Court laid the path for Trump’s return to power, and now continues to bend to his will. Justice is broken when it serves one man’s desires over the rights of all people.”
