The State of Our Courts

While much attention is often paid to the makeup of the Supreme Court and the justices’ impact on our country, the vast majority of federal cases have their final decisions issued by the U.S. District Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals. The judges who sit on these courts have a huge impact on the lives of the everyday Americans who turn to the federal judiciary for justice.

Below are a set of issue briefs, published by Demand Justice in September of 2024, that provide an analysis of individuals who sit on these courts and needed reforms to improve the administration of justice. The briefs underscore the historic progress made in recent years, as well as the need to continue to prioritize the confirmation of talented, fair-minded judges that represent a range of expertise and life experience.
