NEW DEMAND JUSTICE TV AD:
WILL GOP LISTEN TO DR. BLASEY FORD AND ALLOW FOR INDEPENDENT PROBE INTO KAVANAUGH?
Demand Justice Will Air Spots in Maine, Alaska, and–For First Time–Colorado and Nevada
WASHINGTON, DC—Demand Justice released a new TV and digital ad on Wednesday in response to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The 30-second spot features excerpts from Dr. Blasey Ford’s letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein alleging that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a party in high school. The ad notes that Dr. Blasey Ford’s attacker tried to silence her during the assault, then asks whether senators will listen to her calls for an FBI investigation into the incident now.
Watch the ad here.
The ad will run on broadcast and cable in Maine and Alaska. It will also run in Nevada, home of Sen. Dean Heller, and Colorado, home of Sen. Cory Gardner. This is the first time Demand Justice has aired ads in Nevada or Colorado since Justice Anthony Kennedy retired.
A transcript of the Colorado ad appears below.
“Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom.”
“He was trying to attack me.”
“I thought he might inadvertently kill me.”
Those are the words of Christine Blasey Ford, describing the attack she suffered when she was just fifteen years old.
Now her alleged attacker, Brett Kavanaugh, is nominated for the Supreme Court and it is up to the Senate to allow for an independent investigation.
When fifteen-year-old Christine tried to scream, her attacker covered her mouth so no one could hear her.
Will Cory Gardner listen to her now?
