Washington, DC– Today, Demand Justice released a new fact sheet on JD Vance’s record on judicial nominations that calls attention to his consistent attempts to block well qualified nominees for federal judgeships and U.S. Attorney positions.
This resource notes that 88 percent of the time, Vance voted against a nominee or did not vote at all. In addition, since taking office as one of Ohio’s senators, the two new judicial vacancies in the state have gone unfilled, delaying justice for his constituents.
“JD Vance’s record on judges speaks for itself,” said Demand Justice Director of Courts Policy and Legal Analysis Tom Wright. “His efforts to block the confirmation of President Biden’s qualified nominees in self-proclaimed defense of Donald Trump tell us clearly where his priorities lie–and it is not with the American people or needs of justice.”
The fact sheet can be found here.
