Judiciary Act Update: Reps. Levin and Norton Join as Cosponsors
Representatives Andy Levin (D-MI) and Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) have signed on as cosponsors of the Judiciary Act of 2021, which would add four seats to the Supreme Court.
With their cosponsorship, the House bill now has 46 cosponsors, having gained 17 cosponsors since September. The Senate companion bill is sponsored by Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) and cosponsored by Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN).
Congresswoman Norton announced her cosponsorship of the Judiciary Act shortly after meeting with Demand Justice volunteers from her district; this follows several other members who signed on after constituent meetings organized by Demand Justice.
