Judiciary Act Update: Rep. Donald Beyer Joins as Cosponsor
Representative Donald Beyer (D-VA) has signed on as a cosponsor of the Judiciary Act of 2021, which would add four seats to the Supreme Court.
The House bill, sponsored by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), now has 49 cosponsors. The Senate companion bill is sponsored by Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) and cosponsored by Sens. Tina Smith (D-MN) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
Rep. Beyer’s staff previously met with constituent volunteers from Demand Justice during the organization’s Capitol Hill lobby day.
