Judiciary Act Update: Rep. André Carson Joins as Cosponsor
JUDICIARY ACT UPDATE: REP. ANDRÉ CARSON JOINS AS COSPONSOR
Representative André Carson (D-IN) has signed on as a cosponsor of the Judiciary Act of 2021, which would add four seats to the Supreme Court.
With his cosponsorship, the House bill, sponsored by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), now has 48 cosponsors. The Senate companion bill is sponsored by Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) and cosponsored by Sens. Tina Smith (D-MN) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
Rep. Carson announced his support for the bill after a meeting with constituent volunteers from Demand Justice, following several other Representatives who have done the same.
