IN PERSONAL TESTIMONIAL, SEN. TAMMY DUCKWORTH CALLS ON SENATE REPUBLICANS TO STAND WITH FAMILIES WHO HAVE USED IVF AND REJECT AMY CONEY BARRETT’S NOMINATION

In new video, Duckworth recalls bringing her daughter, conceived via IVF, onto the Senate floor.

Video follows news that Judge Barrett supported a group that advocates criminalizing common IVF practices.

WASHINGTON, DC— On Sunday, Sen. Tammy Duckworth released a new video calling on her Republican colleagues to reject Judge Amy Coney Barrett, citing her support for an organization that advocates criminalizing common parts of the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) process. In a personal testimonial, Duckworth recalls the joy of bringing her two daughters into the world, conceived via IVF, after more than 10 years of struggles with fertility.

The video follows reports  that Judge Barrett supported a group that has said that the discarding of unused or frozen embryos created in the IVF process should be criminalized, a view widely considered to be extreme, even within the anti-abortion movement.
