“Fearing a Blue Wave in November, tomorrow House Republicans will vote to lock in the corrupt Supreme Court majority for generations. Any House member who supports tomorrow’s proposal is effectively rubber-stamping decades more corruption under Citizens United, expanded gerrymandering and diminished voting rights, ballooning corporate corruption, and the continued attack on reproductive rights.
Anyone who doubts the danger of this Court should recall that just yesterday, this billionaire-friendly majority used the shadow docket to rubber-stamp Trump’s $400 million ballroom, a grotesque monument to corruption.
The Supreme Court is already deeply unpopular with the American people and locking any path to reform is an insult to our fundamental democratic values. Every member of the House, including every Democrat, must vote NO.”
