DEMAND JUSTICE STATEMENT ON REPS. COHEN, GARCIA, WILSON COSPONSORING SUPREME COURT EXPANSION BILL 

WASHINGTON, DC— Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon issued the following statement Tuesday praising Reps. Steve Cohen (D-TN), Jesús G. “Chuy” García (D-IL), and Frederica Wilson (D-FL) for becoming the latest lawmakers to co-sponsor the Judiciary Act of 2021, which would add four seats to the Supreme Court:

“These lawmakers understand the need to respond in a comprehensive way to the Republican justices’ outrageous attack on Roe v. Wade. Expanding the Supreme Court  is the only way to immediately restore balance to a body that’s become too partisan and too political, and we are grateful to have three more champions for bold reform in this fight with us.”
