DEMAND JUSTICE ANNOUNCES ‘PERSEVERE’ AD TO AIR IN CELEBRATION OF KETANJI BROWN JACKSON’S CONFIRMATION
WASHINGTON, DC— Demand Justice announced Friday it will run a television ad highlighting Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s message to the next generation in celebration of her confirmation as the first Black woman Supreme Court justice.
The ad juxtaposes images of Black law students who traveled from across the country to D.C. in support of Jackson’s confirmation with her testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee about her message to the next generation. Jackson recalls a Black woman she did not know telling her to “persevere” during a challenging time in her life and says she would tell the next generation to do the same.
The ad ends with the text: “History made. Thank you, Justice Jackson.”
The ad is part of a previously announced $1 million ad campaign from Demand Justice.
