Social Media Manager

Position Summary
Demand Justice seeks a Social Media Manager to join our Digital Team. Reporting to the Senior Advisor for Digital, you will act as the organization’s premier social media expert and lead content creation, implementation, and analysis across social channels. You possess a shared commitment to values of equity and inclusion, which are evident in your work products, leadership skills, and interpersonal relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft cross-channel social media content that educates and activates audiences in support of organizational objectives.
- Develop strategic content calendars and track KPIs that drive full funnel results.
- Grow and diversify Demand Justice’s social media audiences.
- Interact with followers to increase brand loyalty and engagement.
- Curate and uplift content from elected officials, partner organizations, and influencers.
- Develop social media toolkits for partner organizations and influencers to promote joint campaigns.
- Attend and promote virtual and in-person events organized by Demand Justice or its partner organizations. Events may occur outside of normal business hours.
- Monitor emerging social media trends and make recommendations to incorporate them into Demand Justice’s social portfolio.
Must Haves:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in an agency or progressive political/non-profit environment.
- A proven track record of content creation and audience building for social media.
- A deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a solutions oriented attitude.
- An interest in progressive politics and the federal judiciary.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with social listening and analytics tools.
- Experience drafting and implementing social content during rapid response moments.
- Experience creating graphics and videos for social media.
- Experience working with social media influencers.
- Interest in social media advertising.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000, as well as a generous benefits package, including medical, vision and dental insurance provided by the employer; 4% matching 401K; 12 observed holidays, 15 vacation days, 10 sick days, winter break; cell phone, fitness and home office reimbursements.
